Sittaford Tor, Devon

Sittaford Tor is located between Fernworthy Forest and the high moors of the northern section of Dartmoor National Park
A short walk to the east are the restored Grey Wethers Stone Circles
The tor provides big views of central and north Dartmoor National Park
To visit, we'd recommend starting out from the car parking area at the west end of Fernworthy Reservoir. Follow the forest roads past Fernworthy Circle out onto the moors and you'll see Sittaford Tor to the south west. There's an obvious track that takes you to its top. We've located the tor on Google maps so zoom in on the satellite setting to see the local area. We'd also suggest you refer to the Ordnance Survey OL28 'Dartmoor' map for detail
We've also walked to Sittaford Tor from the Warren House Inn and Postbridge areas
If you're up for a slightly longer walk, head north west from Sittaford Tor to Quintin's Man and then north to Whitehorse Hill and Hangingstone Hill. This is some of the highest ground in the Park
