Rocks popular with climbers (we often see people bouldering on the tor) and walkers a short distance from Widecombe in the Moor in the eastern section of Dartmoor National Park
Close to a number of car parking spaces, we'd recommend visiting Bonehill Rocks as part of a longer walk incorporating Bell Tor, Chinkwell Tor and Honeybag Tor
The views, as you might expect, are superb. The massive dome of Hamel Down is to the north west and Dartmoor's most famous tors, Hound Tor (East Dartmoor) and Haytor Rocks, are to the the north east and east respectively
Given that Bonehill Rocks is close to one of the Park's most popular villages Widecombe in the Moor, they can get busy at peak times
In the local area, we'd recommend exploring the moorland and quarries around Haytor Rocks. In addition, head a little further south to experience The Ten Commandments Stones and to enjoy the views from Buckland Beacon
