Beautiful bays and coves
Just west of
Padstow and the
Camel Estuary, Trevone leads to some of North and West Cornwall's most beautiful bays and coves.
Trevone Bay,
Harlyn Bay and
Mother Ivey's Bay are gorgeous. Further west,
Booby's Bay and
Constantine Bay Beach form a massive sand beach backing onto
high dunes.
Coastal walking
Trevone's ideally located for a coastal walking holiday. Heading west, then south, on the
South West Coast Path, you'll skirt the bays and beaches mentioned above. The views are superb.
Heading north east, the path takes you to
Stepper Point where there are stunning views across to
Pentire Point (featured on the BBC's 2010 programme 'Secret Britain') and
Hayle Bay (Polzeath and New Polzeath Beach). The path then follows a bank of the
Camel Estuary, past the wonderful
Harbour Cove and Hawker's Cove Beach, to
Padstow. You'll see
Rock and its fine
beach and sand dunes. Hop onto the ferry to explore.
Further afield
A little further afield, we'd recommend
Watergate Beach/Tregurrian Beach and
Newquay's beaches, the pretty harbour at
Port Isaac and the dramatic cliffs and
castle around
Tintagel.
For longer day trips,
The Eden Project is to the south east and
St. Ives to the south west.
