It rains. Thankfully, St Ives is packed with things to do when the rain falls. Attractions such as Tate St Ives are internationally famous. Museums such as the St Ives Museum have a more local appeal. Then there are the art galleries, shops and pubs crammed into a relatively small space on this section of the Cornish coast. Tate St Ives, Cornwall

An obvious rainy day choice. Located behind St Ives Porthmeor Beach, Tate St Ives is an internationally important art gallery. If you're OK to travel, we'd recommend visiting Penzance Penlee House Gallery and Museum as well.

St Ives Shopping, Cornwall

Take a walk along Fore Street and you'll find dozens of high quality shops. There are some great book shops around as well. Try The Harbour Bookshop on Tregenna Place.

St Ives Sloop Inn, Cornwall

Whilst the Sloop Inn is arguably St Ives's most famous pub, there are plenty of places to eat and drink in the warren of streets behind St Ives Harbour & Beach.
