Top 10 Recommended Beaches in Mousehole

Mousehole Beach(es), Cornwall

At low tide, there's plenty of sand within the harbour. You can also explore the rocky beaches north and south of the harbour wall.

Marazion Beach, Cornwall

Stand on the harbour walls and you'll see an arc of sand lining Mount's Bay. Marazion Beach (West) is pretty much in front of the National Trust's St Michael's Mount. Lovely place to spend some time.

Pedn Vounder Beach, Cornwall

Time your visit such that you see Pedn Vounder Beach at low tide. With a bit of luck, the sun will be out and you'll be treated to a special experience. If you're holidaying in Mousehole, make this trip.

Porthcurno Beach

According to countless articles in the national press, this is one of the best beaches in the UK. There's an open-air theatre up on the cliffs.

Kenneggy Sand, Cornwall

This beach is east of Mousehole by Prussia Cove. Superb place but make sure you know the tide times as you can get cut off by the rising sea.

Nanjizal Beach, Cornwall

West of Mousehole, there's a bit of a trek to get to Nanjizal Beach. This keeps visitor numbers down. Beautiful beach in a beautiful bay. It's fun to watch surfers from the cliffs.

Sennen Cove Beach

The southern end of Whitesand Bay, Sennen Cove is an exceptional UK beach. In the right conditions, it's like something you'd experience in the Caribbean.

Portheras Cove, Cornwall

Along with Nanjizal, Portheras Cove is a relatively isolated beach on the west coast of The Land's End Peninsula (The Penwith Peninsula). If you have time, walk south on the South West Coast Path, Start (or End) to Levant and Botallack.

Porthminster Beach, Cornwall

It's worth spending time on any of St Ives's beaches. We recommend Porthminster for the views of the harbour.

St Ives Bay

Big sand beaches line St Ives Bay. If you can only get to one beach, try Gwithian in the northern section of the bay.
