Top 10 Recommended Beaches in Botallack

Priest's Cove, Cape Cornwall, Cornwall

Cape Cornwall is a short walk south west of Botallack. North of the headland is Porthledden Cove. South of the headland is Priest's Cove. The latter is more easily accessible, hence its inclusion on this list.

Portheras Cove, Cornwall

Portheras Cove is a sand beach north of Botallack. You can walk to the beach on the South West Coast Path via Pendeen Watch.

Gwenver Beach

Whitesand Bay is south of Botallack. It's lined with blond sand. The northern section is called Gwenver Beach. The southern section is Sennen Cove Beach.

Sennen Cove Beach

Sennen Cove Beach regularly features in 'Top 10' beach lists within the national press. In the right conditions, when the light is clean and bright, it's breathtakingly beautiful.

Nanjizal Beach, Cornwall

This is a relatively remote beach between Land's End and Gwennap Head on the southern coast of The Land's End Peninsula (The Penwith Peninsula). You have to walk in to visit the beach which keeps visitor numbers down.

Porthcurno Beach

As is the case with Sennen Cove Beach, this choice is a favourite with the national press. The western end of Porthcurno Bay, the sand is easily accessible.

Pedn Vounder Beach, Cornwall

The eastern end of Porthcurno Bay, this is one of our favourite beaches in the UK. It can be unbelievably beautiful. Not the easiest to access, however.

Porthminster Beach, Cornwall

St Ives has a number of quality beaches. We love the view across the water from Porthminster Beach to St Ives Harbour & Beach. Given its location, this stretch of sand gets very busy.

Mounts Bay, Cornwall

Our final two choices are bays east and north of The Land's End Peninsula (The Penwith Peninsula). Mount's Bay is home to the National Trust's St Michael's Mount. Beaches line the coast here.

St Ives Bay

A huge arc of sand running from St Ives to Godrevy Point and Godrevy Island, you can't really go wrong with any section of sand within the bay.
