Top 10 Places To Visit

Salisbury
'Salisbury cathedral and its neighbour Stonehenge, are two eminent monuments of art ... and the last perfection in architecture' So said Samuel Johnson.
Lacock
You've probably seen this place in films such as Harry Potter, Emma, Pride and Prejudice and Moll Flanders. A National Trust village, simply gorgeous.
Castle Combe
Some say it's the prettiest village in England and it's certainly up there with the best that we've seen. On the edge of the Cotswolds AONB.
North Wessex Downs AONB
An ancient landscape including a UNESCO World Heritage Site and some of the UK's finest prehistoric sites.
Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs AONB
Straddling Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire. The Wiltshire rolling downland provides perfect walking country.
Bradford-on-Avon
In its centre, close to the banks of the River Avon is a Saxon church. Visiting this beautiful Cotswolds town is worthwhile just for that.
Marlborough
A well-heeled Wiltshire market town. The Nobel Laureate William Golding lived in Marlborough. Further back, Cardinal Wolsely was ordained here.
Malmesbury
Fine place with 'Naked Gardeners' and a magnificent Abbey. We recommend tea in The Abbey House Gardens.
Swindon
Visit for STEAM, the museum of the Great Western Railway and for Lydiard Park and House. Look out for the Golden Cavalier in Lydiard Church.
Corsham
A remarkably beautiful little town whose main attraction is Corsham Court where Stanley Kubrick filmed scenes from 'Barry Lyndon'
