On Scotland’s north coast. The A836 forms the eastern border of the National Scenic Area which is characterised by beautiful sandy beaches and high windswept peaks.

‘Tongue’ is a coastal village.

‘Kyle’ is the strait or narrow channel of water on which the coastal village of Tongue is located.

The north coast
Located on the north coast of Scotland, Cape Wrath and North West Sutherland NSA are to the west. To the east, you'll find John o Groats.

Ben Hope
In the south west of the National Scenic Area is one of only a handful of munros in the area, Ben Hope (927m).
