'The Most Beautiful Village In England'
William Morris described Bibury as 'the most beautiful village in England'. Located towards the eastern fringe of the Cotswolds AONB, Bibury is certainly one of the best we've seen within the UK.

Bibury, as a tourist destination, is actually two small villages separated by the river Coln. Bibury is to the east and Arlington to the west. The latter is home to Arlington Row which has been used in numerous films and TV programmes.

The Local Area
In the local area, we'd recommend visiting Cirencester which is known as the 'Capital of the Cotswolds'. About seven miles south west of Bibury as the crow flies, explore Corinium Museum and Cirencester St John the Baptist Church. We'd also recommend walking the grounds of Cirencester Roman Amphitheatre.

For other exceptionally beautiful Cotswolds villages, try Northleach and Lower Slaughter. If you have kids, spend a day at Cotswolds Wildlife Park. If you are in Bibury during Autumn, enjoy the colours at Westonbirt Arboretum.

Further Afield
If you are on holiday in the Bibury area and have time to explore a little further afield then head for Blenheim Palace World Heritage Site and Malmesbury Abbey, Broadway and STEAM, Museum of the Great Western Railway.
