Abode Exeter The Royal Clarence Hotel, Exeter

'The first establishment in Britain to be called a hotel', apparently. Exeter hotel on the doorstep of Exeter Cathedral within Exeter Cathedral Close. It's a stunning location with rooms looking out on the historic building. Exeter Historic Quayside is a short walk away.

Watersmeet Hotel, Woolacombe

In North Devon. Idyllic location set above Combesgate Beach in Morte Bay. To the south are Woolacombe Sand (Beach) and Putsborough Sand (Beach). We suspect this hotel elicits hotel-location-envy from other hoteliers.

The Saunton Sands Hotel, Saunton

Again, on the North Devon coast. Exceptional views south across Saunton Sands (Beach). Croyde Sand (Beach) to the north and the equally impressive Putsborough Sand (Beach) beyond that. These Atlantic beaches are as impressive as any in the UK.

Barcel Torquay Imperial Hotel, Torquay

First, the The English Riviera is awesome. Second, this hotel is ideally situated to explore the area. By Torquay Marina and Living Coasts. Super beaches such as Meadfoot Beach are close.

Bovey Castle Aerial View

Luxury hotel in Dartmoor National Park. Close to the moor towns of Moretonhampstead and Chagford. North Bovey village is delightful and we can't recommend Lustleigh Cleave highly enough for walks and views.

Tides Reach, Salcombe

On the The Salcombe Kingsbridge Estuary and close to Salcombe in South Devon. It's a glorious setting by South Sands with Overbeck's Garden and Museum above. The South Sands Sea Tractor/Taxi gives direct access by water to Salcombe.

The Royal Castle Hotel Ltd, Dartmouth

Central Dartmouth in South Devon. As fine a destination as you'll find in the UK. River, castle, boat trips and railway.

The Tors Hotel, Lynmouth

Up in Exmoor National Park perched high above Lynmouth 'England's little Switzerland'. National Trust Watersmeet and Lynmouth Bay are gorgeous.

The Victoria Hotel, Devon

In the centre of Sidmouth in some of the most stunning scenery on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Sidmouth (Jacob's Ladder) Beach is a treat.

Lewtrenchard Manor, Okehampton

West Devon on the fringe of Dartmoor National Park. Lydford Gorge and Waterfall and the south of England's only two mountains are close. South of here is the delightful Tamar Valley AONB.
