Bantham Beach

Popular and large sandy beach joining Bigbury-on-Sea Beach when the tide's out. Stunning views across the sea to Burgh Island. Head east to Thurlestone Sands/South Milton Sands (Beach) and west to Challaborough Beach. This southern coast of Devon has mostly sand beaches.

Blackpool Sands

One of the most picturesque and well photographed beaches in South Devon. One of a number of shingle and pebble beaches running along the Start Bay coast. Try also Slapton Sands, Bee Sands and Hall Sands. Dartmouth is close by.

Putsborough Sand (Beach)

Vast sand beach that sweeps north into Woolacombe Sand (Beach). Part of the exceptional Morte Bay within the North Devon AONB. Try also Croyde Sand (Beach) and Saunton Sands (Beach).

Sidmouth (Jacob's Ladder) Beach

Sweeping sand and pebble beach beneath dramatic red rock cliffs by Sidmouth. Popular with tourists. To the east, via the South West Coast Path, visit Weston Mouth Beach. To the west, try Ladram Bay Beach.

Goodrington Sands

Very popular, mainly sandy beach on the The English Riviera. Stunning area with plenty to do. The South West Coast Path runs along back of beach so easy access to other Riviera beaches.

Thurlestone Sands/South Milton Sands (Beach), Devon

One of a series of sandy beaches running along the South Devon coast around Thurlestone. Great beaches and exceptional views.

Saunton Sands (Beach)

Miles of sandy beach on the North Devon coast and part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Mill Bay Beach

Idyllic sandy beach with views across to Salcombe and down The Salcombe Kingsbridge Estuary.

Croyde Beach

Popular with both surfers and families. Small(ish) beach sandwiched between the large expanses of sand at Saunton and Putsborough/Woolacombe.

Babbacombe Beach

For its setting, Babbacombe Downs and Gardens high above the cliffs here. Across the water is Oddicombe Beach. Amazing place.
