Location and luxury hotel
Pretty village in a super location in the east of Dartmoor National Park and home to the luxury hotel Bovey Castle.

Walking
The Dartmoor Way runs through North Bovey so, as you would expect, this is great walking country. Easdon Tor offers wonderful views of Hound Tor (East Dartmoor) and Haytor Rocks beyond. Lustleigh Cleave is awesome and we'd recommend hiking to its ridgeline via Hunter's Tor (Lustleigh Cleave) to stand on Harton Chest. A spectacular view.

Top Dartmoor attractions
The area is packed with top attractions from Castle Drogo and Gardens to the Teign Gorge, Becky Falls Woodland Park to Canonteign Falls. For young kids, we'd recommend The Miniature Pony Centre.

If you're looking for something quirky, try the Dartmoor Giant Chair. Grimspound is a fascinating prehistoric settlement.

Further afield
Further afield, Exeter is essential visiting in South West England and The English Riviera is a relatively easy drive to the east. Plymouth and the South Devon AONB are to the south.
