One of Dartmoor's most famous villages
Along with Widecombe in the Moor, Buckland in the Moor is one of Dartmoor National Park's most famous villages. The village itself is very pretty but it's Buckland in the Moor's location, in our opinion, that makes it exceptional.

The Dart Gorge and Walking
Sited above a beautiful, wooded valley cut by the River Webburn, Buckland in the Moor is close to the stunning Dart Gorge. The area's packed with fine walks but we'd recommend Buckland Beacon with its The Ten Commandments Stones and the Two Moors Way and Dartmoor Way to the south west.

Try River Dart Adventures down the road, too.

Devon attractions
There are plenty of top Devon attractions within easy reach. Buckfast Abbey is popular as is a trip on the South Devon Railway to Totnes. The English Riviera is to the east and Exeter to the north east, the South Devon AONB to the south and Plymouth to the south west.
