Runs along the south coast of Devon from around Brixham in the east through Dartmouth, Start Point, Salcombe, Bigbury-on-Sea to Plymouth Sound and Plymouth. It extends across the entire coastline of the South Hams and as far north as Totnes. Dartmoor National Park just to the north and west.

Blue-green seas, exotic vegetation, steep hillsides plunging into water, sandy coves and clean light. Very popular holiday destination.

Famous for its beaches: Bantham Beach, Bigbury-on-Sea Beach, Thurlestone Sand/South Milton Sands (Beach), Thurlestone Leas Foot Sand (Beach), East Portlemouth Beaches, Mill Bay Beach,South Hams, Challaborough Beach, Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands.

Also exceptional coastal walking along the South West Coast Path. Try Start Point (with views back to Start Bay), Prawle Point, Bolberry Down around Soar Mill Cove, River Erme and Estuary and the path around Newton Ferrers.

Other attractions include Totnes Castle and Salcombe Castle, River Dart and Estuary and Torquay Marina.
